Julie Jeppson
Executive Director

Julie has over 17 years of nonprofit experience ranging from event planning to development. She brings to Stepping Stone a wide array of skills and abilities, particularly public speaking, marketing, public relations, and community engagement. Julie is very active in the MetroNorth Chamber of Commerce, Ham Lake Chamber of Commerce and the Blaine/Ham Lake Rotary. Her close work with churches, elected officials, business owners, community members, civic organizations, and foundations gives her the ability to find support and make an impact on the lives of those who call Stepping Stone “home.”


Kevin Martineau
Business Manager

Kevin has over 37 years of managerial and directorship experience in the non-profit sector. He brings to Stepping Stone Emergency Housing a vast breadth of skills and experience from Financial Management, Strategic Planning, Development and Fundraising, Program Development, and Management and Leadership.  Kevin sits on the Board of Directors and Committees of many local community organizations.  His work experiences with the homeless over the past 37 years gives him a unique insight into building Stepping Stone into one of the premier resources for the homeless.


Johnna Krantz
Program Director

Johnna is a licensed social worker with 3+ years of experience working with the elderly and homeless. She also has a broad base of knowledge from 15+ years in the business sector. She manages all programs related to Stepping Stone’s mission, manages program staff, as well as develops new programs and enhances current SSEH programs to meet the needs of our residents. Johnna holds a B.S. in Social Work from St. Catherine University and is also a part of the Anoka County response to homelessness serving on the Outreach & Prevention committee, Housing Services Committee, and Heading Home Anoka.


Jackie Vetvick
Case Manager

Jackie is a Licensed Social Worker and Alcohol Drug Counselor with over 28 years of social service experience, working in Anoka County’s the non-profit sector for the majority of time. For most of her career, Jackie has worked with people who have experienced homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. Most recently, she has been working in Central Minnesota with the Women’s Recovery and Support Grant through the MN Department of Human Services – Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division. In this role, Jackie delivered recovery support services to women who have substance abuse disorders. She brings her experience with both disciplines of social work and chemical dependency to Stepping Stone.
